In early December we started Isaac on solid foods. His pediatrician recommended starting him on fruits and vegetables, with rice cereal three nights a week. His very first food was a pulverized banana. Other foods he's tried so far include apple, pear, mango, papaya, squash, potato, peas, and carrots. I knew that feeding babies was difficult because they tend to spit everything out, but I didn't realize he would have such a vehement reaction to his first food!

Isaac really enjoys rocking, and between his Rock-N-Play sleeper and his infant seat, he can spend the whole day rocking. He can rock himself by pumping one or both legs, and he likes to get a lot of momentum going. In fact, between the time we put him to bed at night and the time we get him up in the morning, he rocks himself all over the room! The pictures below show where he starts out at night, and where I've found him on two different occasions in the morning. Somehow he rocks himself across the room, turns the corner, and keeps rocking until he hits something and can't go any farther!
The first weekend in December was also the last weekend of the regular season for college football. Adam wore his new black OU shirt that his mom gave him, and Isaac tried out his new OU jersey. He's such a big boy now! Ike also played with the new toy that Grandma got him, and he and Dad made funny faces.
He was a little grumpy during the game and we soon found out why:
