New Year's and Bowl Games

Grandma Kathy left on New Year's Eve, and we spent a quiet night at home.  Up next were the bowl games - Oklahoma played in the Cotton Bowl and Notre Dame in the national championship game, both in early January.  There's no need to rehash the outcomes, but you can see from the pictures below that Isaac was shocked - shocked! - at the results of both games.  He also shows his male affinity for the remote control, as well as his genetic affinity to close his eyes in photographs.  

I'm also including another unnecessary shot of the sunset over the lagoon.  I'm sure by now everyone knows how pretty it is, but it's surprisingly hard to resist the urge to take pictures practically every night, even though we have dozens of shots.

The last two shots are Ike sitting up in his playpen.  He's gotten so good at sitting up now, we've had to lower the bottom of the playpen so he doesn't just climb right out!
