More December Adventures
We've been enjoying this December and boy has it flown by!  Ike turned 6 months old and is at a really fun age - he can sit up for a few seconds before toppling over, he grabs everything and puts it in his mouth, he loves to talk with everyone, he smiles and laughs and cackles, he is starting to roll over, he can support weight on his legs...

Isaac's 6-Month/Christmas Photo Shoot
On Saturday, December 15, we had Isaac's six-month photo shoot, and since it's the Christmas season we went ahead and did some Christmas-themed photos as well.  Although we liked the photographer who did my pregnancy shots and Ike's one-month pictures, I was really impressed with the work I'd seen from our hotel photographer an...

Isaac's First Solid Food
In early December we started Isaac on solid foods.  His pediatrician recommended starting him on fruits and vegetables, with rice cereal three nights a week.  His very first food was a pulverized banana.  Other foods he's tried so far include apple, pear, mango, papaya, squash, potato, peas, and carrots.  I knew that feeding...

Los Angeles
Dad and I went to Los Angeles from Wednesday to Sunday of Thanksgiving week, to see the Notre Dame-USC football game.  Notre Dame had gone 11-0 up until that point, and only our dreaded rival USC stood between us and the National Championship game.  Dad and I had been twice before, to see ND lose horribly in 2006 and win improbably in 201...

Late November Family Time
My dad and I try to go every year to a Notre Dame away game, and this was the third year that we went to Los Angeles for the Notre Dame-USC game over Thanksgiving weekend.  I felt bad about leaving Isaac home with only Adam, but luckily Margie was able to come down to help out and enjoy Thanksgiving.  Since the flights are very expensive ...

Two-Year Anniversary and Early November Happenings
Well I'm back!  In early November I spilled an entire glass of water on the keyboard of my laptop, and it's been in and out of the shop ever since, which is why I haven't been blogging.  Unfortunately the repairs are going to be almost as much as the computer cost, so in the meantime I'm using our PC laptop, which is norma...

Tulsa Time
Our trip to Tulsa!  We left on Wednesday, October 24 and returned on Tuesday, October 30.  The purpose was to see friends and family (and the ND-OU game, ahem) and it was Isaac's first plane ride, first time out of the country and his first time on US soil!  Admittedly I was nervous about the actual trip, since he was a lap baby ...

Isaac's First Halloween
Our baby's first Halloween and I slacked off.  I had started thinking of costumes weeks ago, but Adam thought I was overthinking the whole thing, then we went to Tulsa and came back the day before Halloween so my ideas were a no-go.  Luckily Grandma saved the day since she had already gotten him a jack-o-lantern shirt, pants, and bib,...

OU - Notre Dame Game this Weekend!
This week, Gretchen, Isaac and I head to Tulsa to visit and introduce Ike to his family in that part of the country. It will be his first time on a plane, first time in the US, and first time to have to wear socks!  The other reason for us traveling to Okahoma this weekend is so that Gretchen and I can attend the big game - OU vs Notre Dame i...

Big Game Saturday
This weekend both Notre Dame and Oklahoma had big games - OU vs. Texas (blowout) and ND vs. Stanford (won in OT).  You can see Isaac biting his nails as we watch the Notre Dame game together.  As the ND game ended, the sun was setting and we got some nice pictures out by the lagoon.   Sunday morning I went for a run, and on the way ...
