February Update - Part I
February has been a very busy month, both work-wise and with Isaac.  He's been getting more and more active, and now requires constant attention.  He does not like being put in his playpen anymore, and much prefers being given free rein to scooch on his tummy all over the floor.  He hasn't gotten the hang of crawling yet, but...

Grandpa Mike in Town
Grandpa Mike (Adam's dad) came to visit us in Cancun.  It was Mike's first trip to our house in Mexico (although he did come to our wedding in Cozumel in 2010, he didn't get a chance to stay at our house).   He arrived on Sunday afternoon just in time for the Super Bowl, which we watched at home with Lucy, Emma, and Lucy's...

Hop on Pop
What's been going on this week?  Hmmm, think think.  Oh yes, Adam and I both got a nasty sore throat and congestion double-whammy, my boss announced he was quitting with four days notice, Isaac has turned into a perpetual motion machine, and Grandpa Mike is arriving for a visit on Sunday.  No biggie! First things first, Isaac go...

Aunt Beth's Visit to Cancun
The weekend of January 19-20, my sister Beth came down to meet Isaac.  He's been a popular guy lately!   You can see below how he loves his panda bear.  It has long arms and legs that velcro together, supposedly around a rolled-up fleece blanket that came with it, and he just loves to chew on the velcro.  The arms and legs ...

More Bowlan Shots
Found some more pictures from the Bowlans' visit.  You can see that Brandan is trying to get Ike and Brady to sit together, but Isaac keeps trying to touch Brady, which he does not like, although he eventually works up the nerve to touch Isaac with one finger.  Also included below are some shots of Ike in his new jogging stroller. &nb...

New Year's and Bowl Games
Grandma Kathy left on New Year's Eve, and we spent a quiet night at home.  Up next were the bowl games - Oklahoma played in the Cotton Bowl and Notre Dame in the national championship game, both in early January.  There's no need to rehash the outcomes, but you can see from the pictures below that Isaac was shocked - shocked! - at...

Isaac has been talking a lot, mostly saying "mamamama," "dadada" and "babababa."  Although his nanny Diony swore up and down that he's been saying "leche," which she apparently says repeatedly to him after he gets his bottle.  We were naturally skeptical, so she got a video on her cell phone, wh...

The Bowlans in Cancun
The weekend of January 12-13 the Bowlan family (aka my youngest sister Theresa, her husband Brandan, and their almost 2-year-old Braedan) came down to Cancun for a visit, and to meet Ike.  I realized that we don't have very many pictures of the visit, probably because we were all chasing after Brady the whole time!  Definitely a littl...

Christmas with Grandma Kathy
I'm a little behind on my blog-posting but we've been busy!  Grandma Kathy came down for Christmas, then my sister Theresa, her husband and son came last weekend, now this weekend my other sister Beth comes!  I'll start with Christmas. Grandma Kathy (Tita) came down on December 23 and stayed through the 31st.  Around tha...

Ike's New High Chair
Grandma Kathy's come for a visit, and she got him a new high chair!  He looks like quite a big boy sitting up in it eating his baby food.  Today was not the first time we gave him potato, but he apparently didn't remember it because he did not like it at all!  Who doesn't like potato?  It was warmed up with some milk...
