Not a Baby Anymore
Isaac has been growing up before our very eyes.  In addition to going up stairs, now he can also go down, which means that he can go down the front stair, take off down the front walk, and disappear around the corner.  He's pretty quick too! We've broken him of the binky, which he had only been using at night and naptime&...

Pooltime and Playtime
A few days ago, I arrived home after work to find the house empty.  I soon found my two boys out back in the pool.  Isaac was already wet head to toe.  Adam was wearing his glasses.  VIDEO: Water Baby Adam told me that he had put Isaac out on the patio and went back inside to retrieve the towels.  Upon returning to th...

First Haircut
We noticed Isaac's hair was getting a little long when he woke up with the bedhead pictured above.  Although it was so cute and also getting a little curl in the back, it was also pretty disheveled so we decided to get it cut (OK, I decided, Adam wanted to keep it long).  To tell the truth I was pretty sad when it actually came time t...

Late July
Isaac is quite the adventurer now.  He loves to walk, walk, walk, especially if he can hold something in his hands.  He can climb up stairs but not down, so when he has to go down, he reaches out for an adult's hand.  He loves walks outside, doggies, and helicopters.  He likes to sit on the bottom step and contemplate life. ...

Grandma Kathy's and Aunt Becky's Visit
Well!  Things have been a bit crazy around here.  In mid-June Isaac turned one and we had some friends over for a pool party (post to come).  I went to Miami for a few day for work. In early July, Grandma Kathy and Aunt Becky came down for a visit.  I took the week off.  The first few days were rainy and we used the ti...

One Year
Isaac has now turned one year old, and I'm feeling a little nostalgic.  Everyone said that the first year would fly by, and boy has it.  I'm so glad that so many of our friends and family members have been able to spend time with him.  Below are photos from his first months, and here is a look back at this wonderful time. ...

Mexico City Weekend Trip
The weekend of June 7-10 we went to Mexico City.  It had been almost two years since we'd been there, and we had found a cheap airfare on Volaris, a Mexican low-cost carrier.  The plane was full and Adam and I couldn't be seated together.  I took Isaac and he was a handful, as any almost-one-year-old would be on a plane. &nbs...

Summertime is Here
and it is getting HOT!  The temperatures are in the upper 80's and the humidity is in the 70-80% range, making it feel like you're in a sauna all the time.  The sun is blazing.  Which makes it perfect beach weather! June 1 was the start of hurricane season and boy did it start.  The entire first week of June it rained...

Grandma Margie's May Visit
Grandma Margie came down for a visit at the end of May, bearing designer duds, books and toys for Isaac.  His wardrobe is amazing!  Included is a full Puma outfit, which makes him look like a little soccer player.  Also an animal book that has buttons for each animal's sound, and a glow-in-the-dark rubber ball which lights up whe...

(First) First Birthday Party
Grandma Margie came for a visit, and we had to take advantage of her being here to throw Isaac a first, first birthday party, just a tad early.  OK it was all her idea.  She had come prepared with an "I am 1" onesie complete with tearaway cape and matching hat (modeled below by Adam - no that is not a yarmulke).  He got a c...
